Reply with this verse: (have her look it up)
Romans 8:38-39
38. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
......maybe add a smiley face...

Forget mutual funds.... try ETFs (equity traded funds).... much, MUCH better.
also, if you have some quality stocks, you can make monthly income by writing Covered Calls.... win, win situation.

Sweet Pea and I are having a steak dinner and a bottle of red tonight.
Cooool. Tell "the boys" that you two had your own JC meeting tonight and they and their Society were found wanting for not living the Gospel of Jesus Christ - You are disfellowshipping them in favor of real truth.

Guys, do you lay your wifi laptop on your lap?
by Elsewhere inone of the things i enjoy most about wifi is the way i can sit in my favorite living room recliner and surf the web while watching spongbob.
i was just sitting here browsing around the web when it suddenly occurred to me: am i microwaving my "boys"?
has anyone heard if there is are, ahem, "manly" dangers to using a laptop on the lap?

but in the First Century there were congregations, and overseers.
true... AND... EVERYONE was permitted to partake of communion (memorial) almost every week - because Christians partook in rememberance of Christ's sacrifice for each of them. What's changed?

If death is the result of sin, why do animals die?
by Orgull inmy first week of posts here were very serious and all the wonderful, encouraging replies helped me very much.. so now i want to ask something semi-frivolous.
(actually it's one of the many things that don't make sense to me about "the truth").
why do animals die?.

In Genesis God told Adam the day he ate from the forbidden tree he would die - but he didn't did he? Not physically at least...
hmmm, perhaps he did.... depends on what you consider a day. In the scriptures God's "day" is counted as 1,000 earth years. Adam lived until he was a little over 900 years, so using that reasoning he did physically die in that "day". As far as why do animals die.... maybe it had something to do with that naughty SNAKE in the garden (bad snake, bad... bad... bad)

Conversation with street witnessor (?) becomes elder infused
by AuldSoul inyesterday, thursday, july 26, 2007, a conversation with a street witnessor (isn't that what you would call someone involved in street witnessing?
) got joined by a walk-up elder turned into a great opportunity to witness to several bystanders (who even joined in the conversation).. i began by declining to accept the offer from the elderly woman who held up a "what does god require of us?
i said, "but, verne, you aren't going to the bible.
